The Imaging & Deployment R8 module requires VSA R8.
Minimum Requirements for Each Repository Machine
A Kaseya agent must be installed.
Microsoft Windows
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2
Microsoft Windows XP (SP3), Vista, 7, 8, 8.1
Server versions of Windows are recommended due to the limited number of SMB connections allowed by Microsoft in Consumer versions.
Linux and Apple are not supported.
1 GB RAM for XP and 2003, and 2 GB or more for Vista and above.
100 GB disk space. Image sizes can range between 300MB and several GBs.
At least one connected, physical ethernet adapter. Wireless adapters are not supported.
Network access to an IPv4 network with a DHCP server. The repository agent machine can have a static IP address, but the clients must to be able to obtain a DHCP address (and also because Imaging & Deployment has no static IP configuration function).
Installing a repository on a Kaseya server is supported but not recommended.
Image Creation and Deployment Machines (Imaging & Deployment Clients)
Supported operating systems:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2
Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7
Linux is supported for backups, but not images.
Both physical machines and virtual machines are supported.
Generally the destination drive must be equal or larger than the source drive.
But when Vista and later Windows systems are sysprepped Imaging & Deployment will reduce the size of the drive as much as possible to create a more useful image.
Software RAID/fake RAID is not supported.
At least one connected, physical ethernet adapter connected to an IPv4 network. Wireless adapters are not supported.
The Windows directory must be called "Windows" and be located on one of the first four partitions of the boot disk drive.
For PXE booting the system setup, or BIOS, of each KID target computer must be configured to bootup using the network interface card (NIC) option at startup, regardless of whether an agent is installed or not. The NIC bootup option must be sequenced before the hard disk (HDD) option. (This is not necessary for DiskBoot, but PXE Boot is needed if the BootMenu feature is desired.)
An installed Kaseya agent is highly recommended.
MBR and GPT disks are supported.
EFI computers are only supported via BIOS compatibility mode.
