The Log file monitor can read a text file and check for appended lines containing one of the specified strings. The monitor generates an alarm if the specified search criteria are met. The monitor uses SMB for connecting to a device. This means that the only credentials configurable are Windows accounts. You will need to set a Windows account even if the target operating system is non-Windows using Samba.
Note: Only monitor specific settings are documented here. See Standard monitor settings.
