Troubleshooting

In-built logging is limited regarding script execution. For this reason, it is recommended to add logging to a file from the script. The log files can be found at TRAVERSE_HOME\bin (unless you have provided an absolute path).

So long as the test type and subtype do not change, no components need to be restarted. Moreover, until changes are finalized, you may work directly off the scripts on the DGE (no need to modify them on the BVE as well).

For every change, it is best to delete and recreate the test. This ensures that the test status reflects the current test and not a previous state that has not changed.

Note: Unlike running from a command prompt, the script runs as the service Data Gathering Engine. You may need to set this script to run as a user account (in place of the default LOCALSYSTEM account) from a permissions perspective.
