VSA (v6.5.0.0) - 31 January 2014

 

On Premises and SaaS Enhancements

Agent

  • [AM-544] - A new /v agent install switch has been added. The /v switch associates an agent with an existing agent account in the VSA when the machine name, agent name and organization are the same for the same partition. Ignores creating a new agent account when a new MAC address is detected. Suitable for re-using existing agent accounts created for reverted VDI resources, but will also work with physical machines.
  • [CC-943] - Added a new VDI column to the the Agent > Agent Status page. The column shows a green check box if the /v agent install switch is used to install an agent to an existing agent account, as described above.
  • [AM-783] - The VSA version number and agent version number has been upgraded to a minimum of 6.5.0.0
  • [AM-721] - Created a catalog-based DLL driver for handling OEM services.
  • [AM-842] - Windows Server 2000 is no longer supported by the Kaseya agent. Agents installed on existing Windows Server 2000 machines cannot be upgraded to agent version 6.5.

Apple Agents

  • [AM-518] - Support for OS X 10.9 Mavericks has been added to the Kaseya agent.
  • [AM-747] - The Mac agent installer now signs using an Apple Developer ID certificate

Agent Procedures

  • [CC-1038] - Windows 8.1 & 2012 R2 are now supported in steps of the Agent Procedure Editor.

Live Connect

 

  • [CC-278] - Live Connect > Desktop Access > VNC now supports keystroke mappings created using SHIFT+OPTION keystroke combinations.
  • [CC-599] - Live Connect now supports IE11.
  • [CC-895] - Live Connect now supports Mac 10.9 Mavericks endpoints.

Remote Control

  • [CC-909] - Windows 8.1 & 2012 R2 are now supported in Remote Control.

Upgrading from 6.3

Only upgrades from VSA version 6.3 to version 6.5 are supported.

  • Upgrade a VSA version 6.2 to version 6.3, before upgrading to version 6.5.

  • [ADESK-483] - This bug fix resolves a note formatting issue in the Ticketing module associated with tickets created from emails.
  • [ADESK-518] - A Web API for ticketing (GetNotesLast) no longer times out.
  • [ADESK-258] - Corrected a deadlock issue when processing Ticketing email alerts.
