Antivirus (R9.3) - 3 May 2016

New Features

The previous Antivirus module has been renamed Antivirus (Classic). Upgrading to 9.3 causes agents with Antivirus installed to continue to run and be supported in the Antivirus (Classic) module just as they were before.

A new Antivirus module has been added. To migrate agents from Antivirus (Classic) to the new Antivirus module

  1. Update agents with Antivirus (Classic) installed to agent version 9.3.
  2. Update these same agents to the latest version of Kaspersky in Antivirus (Classic).
  3. Install Antivirus (9.3) over these same agents. Once installed, Antivirus (Classic) will be disabled for these agents.

Antivirus requires up to 30 minutes after a new VSA install or upgrade to download the files required to install Antivirus clients.

The new Antivirus module includes profile support for running pre-and-post installation agent procedures.

Antivirus Profiles have been expanded considerably, providing access to over 200+ settings supported by the Kaspersky client. To accommodate this expansion, the Profiles page tabs have been reorganized as follows:

User can select one of four different predefined security levels: Low, Recommended, High, and Custom. The Low, Recommended, High security levels provide different combinations of fixed and optional settings. The Custom security level makes every setting optional. The Recommended setting is the default.

Policy Management can manage the installation of the Antivirus client and the assignment of Antivirus profiles and alert profiles.

A new Settings now enables to you specify Global Exclusions that can be optionally added to any profile. This page also configures profiles as public or private and license alerts.

De-duplication has been added to Alerts to prevent multiple alerts from being generated for the same alert condition.

A new Application Logging page displays a log of Antivirus module activity.
