Kaspersky File Server integration
|
Antivirus (Classic) 1.2 offers AV file server protection for the following:
The ability to install and uninstall Kaspersky on a file server is enabled. Servers and workstations can be selected for installation simultaneously and the product automatically installs the proper product by machine type. There are separate profiles for servers and workstations. The appropriate profile is applied automatically to each type of machine when selected by the user. |
Dashboard |
The Dashboard page now displays server license consumption and usage counts, for both servers and workstations. |
Alerting
|
This version adds Antivirus (Classic) alerts. Alerts are notifications to the user that a pre-determined condition has been detected. Antivirus (Classic) alerts are managed using the Event Log Alerts page in the Monitor module. If Antivirus (Classic) is installed, the following Antivirus (Classic) event sets are available to assign to Antivirus (Classic) managed machines and may be modified if desired.
|
Windows Security Center Integration & Column sets
|
A new Windows Security Center column set identifies the install status of antivirus products registered with a machine's Windows Security Center. The WSC Reported Product Name column in this new column set also displays when the Installation column set is selected. |
Licensing
|
There is a new license pool for servers. The Server license pool can be viewed and is treated the same as the current workstation KAV workstation license pool. The presentation of existing license information has been clarified for both existing and consumed licenses. There are no changes to the current workstation license pool. KAV server and workstations licenses counts are also shown separately in the System > License Manager page. |
Installation Agent Procedures |
Specialized agent procedures are installed with Antivirus (Classic) that enable you to deploy the Antivirus (Classic) installer package to endpoints. To reduce Kaseya Server download bandwidth, the installer package gets deployed to a local file share location then distributed to endpoints for installation. |
