Enhancements

Upgrading from Kaseya Antivirus (Classic)

When installing Antivirus (Classic), all data associated with a previously installed Kaseya Antivirus (Classic) module is migrated automatically.

Supported Versions

Kaspersky Antivirus - Supports both workstations and servers.

  • Supports Kaspersky Antivirus versions 10.x.x.x (Kaspersky EP10), 6.0.4.1424, 6.0.4.1611)
  • Installs and upgrades to Kaspersky version 10.x.x.x (Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business)

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, version 10 Enhancements

Supported features:

  • Support for Windows 8 and 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2.

The following Kaspersky EP 10 features are not supported in Antivirus (Classic):

  • Application Startup Control
  • Application Privilege Control
  • Vulnerability Monitor
  • Device Control
  • Web Control
  • Encryption
  • Kaspersky Security Network

Machines

The Machines page includes the following new options:

  • A new Filters menu and Alert Profile menu.
  • A new Alerts profile tab also displays on the Details panel on the right.

Profiles

Includes new Filter and Clear Filter options.

Alerts

  • Alerts are configured entirely within Antivirus (Classic). Previously, Antivirus (Classic) alerts were managed using the Monitor module.
  • A new Alerts Configuration button supports the formatting of each type of alert notification message.
  • A new Application Alert button configures notification of VSA users when low license counts exist.
  • Alert actions now include:
    • The running of agent procedures.
    • Messages sent to the VSA Inbox.
    • Antivirus (Classic) alerts are now integrated with other alerts on the notification bar.

Detections

Added a Hide option.

Auto Extend Licensing

The option to enable/disable Auto Extend licensing has been removed in this release. Auto Extend licensing is always enabled and uses any licenses in inventory when new licenses are needed. Auto Extend continues to use all available licenses until there are no licenses remaining in inventory.

Port Monitoring

Kaspersky port monitoring is now supported.

LAN Cache

LAN Cache is now integrated with Antivirus (Classic).

Policy Management

When upgrading to Antivirus (Classic):

  • Policy categories in Policy Management used to assign Antivirus (Classic) profiles are preserved and migrated as well.
