Monitor description

The monitor connects to a POP3 mail server and verifies that it can logon to the server and check for mail, without affecting the status of the mailbox. The purpose is to verify that the POP3 authentication and the storage system of the POP3 server is working. If no username or password is provided a simple connection test is performed.
