SNMP Set

The SNMP Set action can be used to change values of object identifiers (OIDs) in a remote SNMP agent.

Note: The system hosting the Network Monitor server must have the Windows SNMP Service running to use SNMP monitoring. Any community specified by Network Monitor for monitoring must also be specified by the SNMP Service on the host machine. See Installation Checklist.

Parameters

• Hostname - Host name or IP number. Leave blank to use the address of the object.
• Community - SNMP community to use.
• OID - Object identifier to change.
• Value - Value to set
• Syntax type - Type of value. The value can be an integer or a string.
