Default Web Site: 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2012 R2

Your IIS server must have:

• A Default Web Site defined, and
• The Default Web Site must be assigned an ID of 1.

To Verify the Name and ID of the Default Web Site

Windows 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2012 R2

1. Open Explorer.
2. In the Explorer address bar, navigate to Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools
3. Click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
4. Select Sites.

   

• Right-click the Default Web Site.
  • Or right-click the first site listed, if Default Web Site is not listed.
• Select the Manage Web Site > Advanced Settings... option.
  • The ID field should display 1
  • The Name field should display Default Web Site
