Script Browser and Script Toolbar

All user-defined scripts are displayed and selected using the Script Browser. Sample scripts can be loaded using the System > Configure page. Within the script browser:

Scripts that can be used by all administrators are listed under Public Scripts. New scripts are created initially as private scripts and listed under My Scripts. Private scripts can be shared with individual administrators or with administrator roles or made public using the Script Editor.

Note: Function specific scripts, such as the scripts defined using the Patch Deploy wizard, are not displayed in the Script Browser and cannot be changed using the Script Editor.

System Scripts

Certain scripts are provided as system scripts. They display as an option when you use the search tool to locate a script. System scripts cannot be edited nor can they be run as top level scripts. System scripts can only be run from within another script using the Execute Script or Schedule Script commands.

Script Toolbar

The Script Toolbar displays at the top of the Script Browser and provides the following:

Open/expand all folders

Close/collapse all folders

Search tool used to locate a script.

Note: You cannot select, edit or run a system script directly from within the script browser.

Import a new script

Create a new script and open the Script Editor.

Note: New scripts are always created initially as private scripts. Private scripts can be shared or made public using the Script Editor.

Displays the Manage Files Stored on Server popup window.
