DHCP queryMonitor description The DHCP query monitor verifies that a DHCP server is able to lease IP addresses to clients in the network. At least one address must be free for the test to succeed.
Note: The Network Monitor host cannot use DHCP for its own network interface if this monitor is used. If the host machine used DHCP the result could be that Network Monitor might release the IP address allocated to the host. Note: Network Monitor uses the MAC address of the first installed network card on the host to request an IP address from the DHCP server. | |||
