Kaseya Remote Control

Terminal Server Sessions

Users can now remote into a Terminal Server, then select a user session to shadow. Shadow means the administrator shares the console session with the end user and can provide assistance to the user. The Terminal Services role must be enabled on supported Windows servers to use this feature. Remoting into a Terminal Services session using Kaseya Remote Control obeys the group policy for shadowing user sessions set on the Windows server.

Private Remote Control Sessions

A ‘Private Remote Control’ button has been added to Quick View. Private sessions enable administrators to connect to a machine, login and remote control a machine without accessing the console. An end user working on the same machine at the same time cannot see the administrator's private session.

Info Center

The following enhancements were added to Info Center:

You can now add images (png, jpg, gif, bmp) to a repository located on the Info Center > Configure & Design > Report Images page. These images are available to use by a new Report Image control. The Report Image Control can be added to a custom report and / or template. The maximum report image file size that you can upload in the Report Image page is 1 MB.

Kserver/Agent

Agent system audits and application audits have been split into two separate tasks, to enable the agent to be used almost immediately after it is first installed, as soon as the system audit completes.

Live Connect

In Live Connect, the 'Status' column was removed from the Agent Data > Kaseya Remote Log and the 'End Time' column renamed the 'Last Active Time' column.

Notification Bar

Added a notification bar alert to be triggered when the SQL Service Broker is disabled.

On-Premises Logon

The patch version level has been added to the VSA logon page.

Product API

Updated Kaseya API authenticate to return ErrorMessage upon authentication failure. Now displays username/password incorrect, API disabled, API disabled for tenant, user disabled, and IP address incorrect, when appropriate.

Info Center

You can no longer create a new report part with the same name of an existing report part within the same dataset.

Info Center > Management Dashboard dashlet data is refreshed only if the numerical value has changed since the last query.

System

The link clicked to download exported data from the System > Service Management > Import Center page has been shortened to "Download".

Fixed an issue that caused localhost credentials to fail when tested on the Agent > Configure Agents > Set Credentials page.

This was patched in 6.5, but never deployed in 7.0: Rich text editing is no longer supported for all custom fields on the System > Orgs > Manage > Custom Fields tab except for the "Notes" custom field. Except for the "Notes" field, custom fields that have rich text formatting in them will be stripped of their rich text formatting the next time the custom field is saved by a VSA user. This enables plain text custom fields to be used more reliably in Service Desk procedures and Agent Procedures.

It is no longer possible to publish Network Monitor reports to folders in SaaS.
