System - Import Center

A new Import Center navigation item in the System module, enables you to import and export various Kaseya objects. Exporting creates a single XML export file which contains multiple objects. Importing can import the entire contents of an XML export file. Types of import/export objects include:

  • Packages
  • Agent Procedures
  • Agent Templates
  • Event Sets
  • Monitor Sets
  • Monitor SNMP Sets
  • Patch Policies
  • Views

Session Timers and Timesheets

A new Session Timer function allows the Kaseya user to start and stop multiple timers, as long as the user is logged in to the VSA. Time recorded by a timer can be added to a timesheet, which in turn, can be applied to an administrative task. Each timer can have a different color. Electronic work sheets can be approved or rejected by supervisors.

  • In the VSA header, a Session Timer Toolbar displays just under the role and scope drop-down lists.
  • In a new Time Tracking module, a new "My Timesheets" navigation item displays. For approvers only an additional Approve Timesheets navigation item displays.
  • Additional new navigation items display in the new Time Tracking module.
  • Periods  - Defines timesheet period settings
  • Resource Types  - Maintains resource type definitions
  • Skills Assigned to Staff  - Assigns resource type skills to staff records
  • Staff Associated with Skills - Associates resource type skills with staff records
  • Administrative Tasks - Creates administrative tasks for time tracking
  • Approval Patterns - Creates approval patterns for timesheet approvals
  • Timesheet Summary - Displays a summary status of all timesheets
  • General Settings - Defines settings for all users of Time Tracking, including Session Timer, Date Format, and Default Tax Rate. This same page can also hide session timers and disable the function that allows multiple session timers running at the same time.

Agent Quick View

Hovering the mouse over an agent check-in icon now displays an agent "quick view" window immediately. You can launch an agent procedure or launch Live Connect from this agent quick view window.

Preferences - Agent Quick View Delay

A new "Set delay before displaying detail information when hovering over agent icon" sets the time in milliseconds to wait before displaying the agent quick view window.

Check-in Control - Bind Agents to Kserver

If a new "Bind to Kserver" checkbox is checked in, the agent is bound to a unique Kaseya Server ID. Bound agents cannot check-in successfully unless the unique Kaseya Server ID they are bound to using the Agent > Check-in Control page matches the unique ID assigned to the Kaseya Server using the System > Configure page.

Mac Agent Monitoring

Mac agents now support:

  • SNMP monitoring
  • Process monitoring in monitor sets

Linux Agents

Linux now supports FTP in the Remote Control module.

Agent Procedures > Used By

A new "Used By" tab displays in the right hand pane when an agent procedure is selected. Displays a list of other procedures that execute this procedure. Agent procedures that are used by other agent procedures cannot be deleted.

Agent Procedure Custom Commands

Enables the creation of user-defined Agent Procedure STEP and IF commands, including user-defined parameters that can be passed to a specified child procedure. Facilitates ease of use by enabling the encapsulation of specialized commands.

Desktop Access Improvements

Desktop Access provides an expanded set of session options:

  • Share session using VNC
  • Create a private session using RDP
  • Connect to printers
  • Connect to mapped drives
  • Automatically connect with previously saved settings
  • Display the connection embedded, in a new window, or as full screen.
  • Automatically hide Live Connect panels
  • Show warnings about active sessions

Live Connect relay improvements

Improves the speed of Live Connect connections.

Chrome support for Live Connect

Live Connect now supports the Chrome browser.

Patch Management – Command Line

Patch Management – Patch Location

Added the Patch Data Filter bar to the top of the page to restrict the amount of data displayed. The data/view that is saved using the Patch Data Filter bar is shared between Approval By Policy, Command Line and Patch Location pages. This bar replaces the "Classification" dropdown list previously used to filter these pages.

Update Org to Organization reference

Organizations can be created from other sources, specifically vendor records and customer records in the not yet released Kaseya Service Billing module.

Org Custom Field Titles

A new Org Custom Field Titles tab in System > Site Customization customizes the names of custom fields displayed in the System > Manage > Org/Groups/Depts/Staff > Custom Fields tab.

Add language support to Installer

You can now select the language to use while running the installer.

Favorite Icon

You can customize the "favicon" associated with your VSA website, using the System > Site Customization > Site Header tab. When your VSA website is bookmarked in a browser, the favicon image displays next to the the text of the bookmark. Customize this image using a 16x16 pixel ico file.
