Auto Discover Windows User Accounts

User accounts can be automatically created for Windows authenticated users. To enable this feature check the Automatically create accounts for users with valid Windows credentials on the BYOD gateway > Control Panel - Users tab.

With this feature enabled the BYOD gateway automatically creates a user account for any Windows authenticated users the first time they try to logon to the BYOD gateway from a BYOD Suite client. Auto discover Windows user accounts uses the default device permission set by the New user's permission to use new devices option.

• Before enabling Auto Discover, test logging on with a Windows Domain User Account.
• The first time a Windows domain user logs on to a BYOD Suite container app site, a new BYOD gateway user account is created that is associated with the user's Windows account. The gateway.log file records whenever an account is created successfully under the log heading, BYODLOG_AUTOACCEPTED_DEVICE. The gateway.log is located in your data directory.
• A BYOD gateway user account created using auto discover can be edited manually once the account has been created.
• Deleted user accounts are not added back through the auto discover process. If you need to add a deleted user back, the account must be added through the Control Panel.
