User access tab

The User access tab sets access rights for a user.

Module permissions

• Dashboards - If checked, the user can access the Dashboard module.
• Monitoring - If checked, the user can access the Monitoring module.

  Note: For non-system administrators, each node must also provide user group access to view that node.

• Knowledge base - If checked, the user can access the Knowledge base module.

  Note: For non-system administrators, each knowledge base category must also provide user group access to view articles in that category.

Monitoring permission

• System admin - If checked, the user has access to all nodes, devices and user interface options, regardless of other access settings.
• Action lists - If checked, the user can create, and modify actions on the Actions tab. This access right is normally reserved for system administrators.
• Dashboards - If checked, the user can create, and modify dashboards.

  Note: A user is never able to edit dashboards belonging to other users, except for shared dashboards.

• Logon accounts - The user can create, and modify, logon accounts. This access right is normally reserved for system administrators.
• Scheduled events - If checked, the user can create scheduled events.
• Maintenance schedules - If checked, the user can create and modify maintenance schedules.
• Reports - If modify is checked, the user can create and modify reports and report templates. If Read is checked, the user can view reports in the management interface.
• Acknowledge alarms - If checked, the user is able to acknowledge alarms. For details see Acknowledging Alarms.

Misc permissions

• Audit log - If checked, displays the Audit tab when viewing a node.
• My settings - If checked, the user can access the Edit my settings page to change his own contact information as well as change password.
• Auto login - If checked, the user can use Auto login.
